Halloween!!

Yep Yep it's one of my favorite times of the year! Halloween! It's such a dissapointment that in Geneva no one takes it seriously. That does not stop me from dressing up though! I get to feel like a kid all over again..Just because your in a costume doesn't mean you shouldn't look stylish. What are you planning to be for Halloween? I'm still having trouble deciding..I was trying to look for ideas  and here are some accessories I found online that would give a perfect touch to a halloween costume.

Why not add a little elegance, and buy some lace cat ears from Mimi Holliday by Damaris. Or you could Bunny ears.

Want to add a little edge to your outfit? If your planning on a school girl look, here are the perfect checked heels. If you don't have the checked skirt worry not, you can wear the checked shoes which is just as good.  Pair these babies with with a plain pleated skirt and a button up shirt,

The beauty of these shoes is that they match almost anything. From vampire, witch, gothic, etc.. The spikes add the dramatic effect which is perfect for halloween.

Ofcourse,  what is an out without a little purse/clutch to carry your essentials? I think the alexander mcqueen knuckle cuffe clutch does the best job for this themed night.

Try out high street fashion shops, where you can find a variety of different outfits. I found some awesome stuff on top shop, and the best part of it is that you can wear it on other different occasions.

Don't forget to accessorize and add dramatic make up of course!

High school reminiscing

I've always had a huge obsession for bags. I feel like it is the most essential accessory a girl must have. A bad choice of a handbag could lead to a totally catastrophe to a well put together outfit. It's not like shoes or a top where one can turn a blind eye to.  Today I was browsing through the net looking at new stuff until something caught my attention. I couldn't stop seeing backpacks and satchels. I know that the Cambridge satchel bag was everywhere a couple of seasons ago, but I was pretty astonished to see that even Chanel has incorporated the satchel bag to their collection. The only satchel style bag I love is my Proenza Schouler one. My dad kept making fun of me saying how it looked like a school bag, but that is the whole concept and style of it. It's perfect for all the high school kids, who would look extremely stylish in a Chanel backpack and not look silly at all. I keep wishing that this trend was in when I was still in high school. What do you guys think about this trend? Are you loving it or hating it? Many people can pull this look off and look flawless. Take the Olsen twins for example. They totally rock the Chanel backpack. However I think it is a little too daring for my taste. reminiscing

Outfit of the day-Denim over Denim

I love how Leandra Medine from the man repeller incorporated this look. She makes the simplest looks, stand out. Add some accessories and heels and voila. You can turn a "boyish look" or even a very plain look seem more dressed up with the right attitude shoes of course.

So What I'm Still A Rock Star I Got My Rock Moves

As most of you realized Leather jackets are one thing that never goes out of style.  It is always timeless and chic and can be worn with a million of different combos. Day-Night. Chic-Casual. Why not invest in a leather jacket? It is something that you will literally keep in your closet for years, so it is seriously not a waste. I've been really into the biker leather jackets lately.

If leather is not really your thing, or you have enough leather jacket but you are also loving biker jacket look, there are other materials and brands you can buy from. Here are the few that I really liked.

Dario's

I used to always complain about the fact that Geneva never had a variety of choices when it came to restaurants. However this is where I am wrong. I think that when you live in Geneva, you are simply so used to going to the same places over and over again that you do not really try to explore new options. The other day I came across an Italian Restaurant located in Eaux Vives called
Dario's. It is by far one the best Italian restaurants I have eaten in. From the fresh burratta served with honey, aubergines stuffed with parmigiana cheese, meat balls in tomato sauce and ravioli's in balsamic sauce with truffles and cheese. Definitely mouth watering. The restaurant has such a romantic vibe to it, lit simply by candles. The only minus part of it, is that it is pretty tiny. However the food really does compensate for it. Two thumbs up!

Bling Bling

I think I have mentioned before how important it is to accessorize. Sometimes an outfit needs some small detail to perfectionize it. Speaking of accessorize, obviously every girl loves jewlery. However It's time to say goodbye to little discrete ones.  For some time now it's all about big statement pieces and this trend seems to be expanding more and more. Be bold and pair a plain shirt with an awesome necklace,  and it will definetly add some touch to your outfit. Or on the other hand, as the man repeller would say: "There is no real party without an arm party."

To purchase some bling bling I recommend checking out

http://www.net-a-porter.com/ they have so many different types of gorgeous statement earings
Dannijo for bracelets and necklaces http://dannijo.com/
Tom bins for necklaces http://www.tombinnsdesign.com/

For cheaper and more affordable prices you can always check out the high street fashion brands like Zara, Topshop, h and m. I came across some really cool ones.

Le Palais Oriental

Montreux is definitely one of my favorite places to visit in Switzerland. Mainly because I have a lot of my childhood memories there. Each time I go to Montreux I must visit one of my favorite restaurants called "Le Palais Oriental." I highly recommend a visit to this restaurant if you happen to be in the area. Trust me, it is worth the drive. Their menu includes a wide mix of different cuisines ranging from Iranian, Lebanese, Moroccan and even Indian. For as long as I remember, this restaurant has held up it's standards and always managed to stay on top. The staff are very friendly and the owner always walks by to make sure everything is in order. It is extremely cozy and with beautiful interior design, facing the lake. You really get the "Oriental vibe" when you walk in.

Louis Vuitton S/S 13

Not impressed at all by Marc Jacob's creation. In the past two seasons his work was pretty top notch. However I feel this collection really lacked creativity and you see a tremendous inclination. Very plain colors and very..."Geometric." Seriously what is up with the shapes? First with the polka dots and now squares. Let's hope for something better for his next collection..

Chanel S/S 13

Looks like Karl did it again! Leaving us all speechless and amazed. Here are some of the looks:
